6 miles north of downtown Marquette

The trail is a 1.2 mile loop that takes approximated 40 minutes to complete. It is considered a moderately challenging trail with an elevation gain of 290ft. There are viewing platforms at the top of the trail, perfect for photos of the rugged coastline of Lake Superior. Eastern loop has a lot of stairs that could me challenging for some. Dogs welcome

Most of the hike is very easy. It does not increase in difficulty until you get closer to the peak. There's about 200 stairs but benches along the way. Once you reach the top you will be so glad you made the climb. The view is absolutely breathtaking!
