Black River Falls is one of the notable waterfalls near Ishpeming, Michigan. The falls drop approximately 30 feet through a cut in the bedrock. Visitors can access the falls via a trail from the parking lot, which takes about 150 yards to reach the waterfall. The area is also suitable for fishing, with Brook Trout found in the waters around the falls. Another waterfall in the vicinity is Upper Carp River Falls, which is located just outside of Ishpeming and features a bowl-shaped cascading plunge and a wide slide next to a tall cliff.
